Miguel is expanding his career into film as Deadline reports that he’s joined the cast of Live By Night, a new crime drama written and directed by Ben Affleck.
The film isn’t slated for release until 2017, Affleck will also star in the film. Miguel will reportedly play Esteban, the brother of a woman caught up in the organized crime of Tampa, Florida. “Live By Night uses some of the characters from Lehane’s sprawling period novel The Given Day,” Deadline notes, “and brings them into Prohibition. The focus is Joe Coughlin (Affleck), the black-sheep son of a police captain who gets involved in escalating levels of organized crime.” Also starring in the film are Sienna Miller, Elle Fanning, Chris Messina and Zoe Saldana.
