The VH1 Hip Hop Honors was a unique award show that focused honoring people who contributed to the culture. The show started in 2004 and ended in 2010 past honorees were Tupac Shakur, A Tribe Called Quest, Notorious B.I.G, and Wu-Tang Clan among others.
VH1 network announced that they are bring the awards show back since its 6 year hiatus. This time the Hip Hop Honors are going to focus on the women that were trailblazers and trendsetters that in a male dominated culture.
The show will air live in New York City on July 11th, as of now no honorees were announced we will keep you posted.
