Dr. Dre is one of the most greatest Hip Hop producers in music history. During his new Beats 1 radio show The Pharmacy, Dre showed loved to another legendary producer on his personal list.
“There’s a lot of producers I like to listen to, a lot of producers out there that I respect, a lot of producers that I get inspiration from,” says Dre. “But you know what? I’m gonna write a prescription for just one. What I want right now is just the dopes of Dilla.”
Detroit producer J. Dilla crafted sounds for A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Roots, Common, Erykah Badu, Madlib, and many others. He also released his own projects. Dilla passed away in 2006 from cardiac arrest.
