The Queen of Disco known as Donna Summer will have her life portrayed on the theatrical stage. Because there is a musical in the works about the Queen of Disco, who spawned out hits such as “Love to Love You Baby,” “Bad Girls,” and “Last Dance.”
Jersey Boys‘ Des McAnuff will serve as director and Sergio Trujillo has been tapped to be the choreographer. The musical will be broken down into three different segments of her life. The first part will focus on her childhood, second part her rise to stardom, & the third will be about her fading away from the music industry.
The musical will be titled The Donna Summer Project; Donna Summer passed away in 2012 at the age of 63 from her bout with lung cancer.
