Television networkBET has ordered the pilot for his show titledStreet Dreams.The show centers around Nas’ character growing up in New York during the 1990’s from living in Queensbridge projects, to selling drugs, and becoming a prominent rapper.
The title Street Dreams comes from his 1996 sophomore multi-platinum albumIt Was Written.The show will be directed byJonathan Levine, who directedThe Night Before and the creator ofRush. Nas is not new to the television/film industry he is also the executive producer of the Netflix hit seriesThe Get Down.
