BET Has Picked Up The Pilot For Nas Show Titled Street Dreams

Queensbridge native and emcee Nas life story will be heading to the small screen. Television network BET has ordered the pilot for his show titled Street Dreams. The show centers around Nas’ character growing up in New York during the 1990’s from living in Queensbridge projects, to selling drugs, and becoming a prominent rapper.

The title Street Dreams comes from his 1996 sophomore multi-platinum album It Was Written. The show will be directed by Jonathan Levine, who directed The Night Before and the creator of Rush. Nas is not new to the television/film industry he is also the executive producer of the Netflix hit series The Get Down.
