A Tribe Called Quest Grammy Performance sent a powerful political message and was probably the best performance of the night.  ATCQ was accompanied by Anderson. Paak, Consequence, DJ Scratch, and Busta Rhymes. This was there first performance since Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor died in March of 2016.

If you have not been following the new,  the so called President Donald Trump has tried to issue a travel ban against mostly Muslim nations which has sparked worldwide protest.

Before ATCQ went into the selection “We The People” from We Got It From Here . . . Thank You 4 Your Service album.   Q Tip said, “To all of those people around the world, all of those people, who are pushing people who are in power to represent them: tonight, we represent you,”

Busta Rhymes really set it off. “I’m not feeling the political climate right now,” he said. “Thank you, President Agent Orange for perpetuating all the evil that you’re perpetuating throughout the United States. Than launched into a performance of “We the People….”

A Tribe Called Quest Grammy Performance showcased Muslims walking from the crowd onto the stage with their hijab.  To end the performance each member raised their fist in the air in unison as show of unity.  Check out the performance below
