Rapper Kendrick Lamar won 5 Grammy Awards last night at the 2016 Grammy Awards. One was Rap Album of The Year, for his sophomore effort To Pimp A Butterfly</strong>. He stole the show with politically charged renditions of “The Blacker The Berry” and “Alright,” the Compton rapper wore chains alongside dancers before hosting an on-stage bonfire at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. The performance was a masterpiece detailing our nations history to the present. Of course I am not saying he did not win because of his performance because the votes were already tallied. Let’s be honest Kendrick Lamar’s album content had real substance about issues affecting people in our communities today. Not to take away credit from the other artist that were up for the award, but Kendrick created a album of brilliance expressing his stance on policing, and other injustices. Please vote and tell us your opinion.
