Donald Trump has shown a disdain and hatred towards former President Barack Obama over the past 10 years. First it was the birther movement, than after the election he has made false accusations Barack’s administration illegally wiretapped him. Now Trump has ended Michelle Obama’s “Let Girls Learn” Program.
In an internal document obtained by CNN , the Trump Administration will pull the plug and cease all operations on the “Let Girls Learn” program, which the former First Lady started in 2015 to “facilitate educational opportunities for adolescent girls in developing countries.”
“Moving forward, we will not continue to use the ‘Let Girls Learn’ brand or maintain a stand-alone program,” an email sent to Peace Corps employees this week by the agency’s acting director Sheila Crowley read.
This is latest string of shameful acts by Donald Trump. Michelle Obama has been a positive inspiration for young girls around the world. This program was started to enrich the lives young girls and give them hope for the future.
There was no reason to end this program and Trump did not give one.
