In this day in age when most teenagers want to be rappers, Anonymous DaBand has gone against the grain. This group of Atlanta teenagers ages ranging from sixteen to nineteen years old formed a jazz band and they can play with the best of them. Each member is a master of his own instrument and they blend their talents together to make a unique sound. The band consist of Xavier Jones (Bass), Langston Michael (Saxaphone), Xavier Davis (Keys), and Justice Michael (Drums). The band stated their parents were huge influences in their musical direction because jazz music was the choice of music in their respective households, so they gained a great appreciation for it.
These young guys are keeping live instruments in the focal point of music where it all began.
The group has performed around the Atlanta area for various benefits, social events, and festivals. As the opening acts for the likes of Najee, Chrisette Michele, and Pieces of a Dream and other top performers they have become Atlanta’s #1 Teen Instrumental Band. Anonymous DaBand is promoting their current single “Drinking Water” which is a funky groovy contemporary track.
This they have the honor of performing at the 2016 Atlanta Jazz Festival on the local stage. The show starts at 2:30pm Sunday, May 29th. Come out and support these young cats and be sure to purchase their single on iTunes.
