New docuseries to feature Ice-T and Busta Rhymes
The A+E network will air a docuseries called Origins of Hip Hop, that will tell the stories of iconic figures in Hip Hop. The Origins of Hip Hop docuseries is 8 episodes that will feature Busta Rhymes, Grandmaster Flash, Eve, Ja Rule, Lil Jon, Ice-T and Uncle Luke.
The docuseries is produced by Mass Appeal and Nas, who is co-owner of Mass Appeal will be narrating hourlong the Origins of Hip Hop episodes. They highlight the artists highs and lows in the careers and personal lives as well.

“Origins of Hip Hopexpands our boundary-pushing, non-fiction programming slate and celebrates the artists and sounds that have helped define a genre and culture,” Elaine Frontain Bryant, evp and head of programming at A&E, said in a statement. “Alongside our partners at Mass Appeal, we are excited to elevate the voices and stories of this incredible group of artists who helped create and continue to shape the genre today.”
The first episode will feature Bronx native Fat Joe that will air May 30th at 10 pm and the series will continue to air on Tuesdays starting June 6th.
