Cookin Soul Releases "MF DOOM Tribute" Cookin Soul released "MF DOOM Tribute" mix to celebrate MF DOOM'S contribution to hip hop. DOOM, one of hip-hop's most celebrated supervillain to have passed away on October 31st. Fans had zero knowledge of his death until his wife announced it on social media on December 31st. The enigmatic rapper became popular for his intricate wordplay, and supervillain signature metal mask, stage persona. The metal mask was inspired by Marvel Comics supervillain Doctor Doom, MF DOOM released 12 albums, 6 solo and 6 collaborative. The 2004 album Madvillainy, released with producer Madlib is regarded as a landmark album in hip hop. His fifth studio album Mm..Foodreceived universal critical acclaim. The tribute project is 10 tracks of remixes of DOOM classics with an outro featuring a sound bit from Madlib discussing his work process with DOOM. The mixtape collective is comprised of Spanish producer-DJs duo Big Size and Zock. They are known to have some of the best mashups on the mixtape circuit. Stream the MF DOOM Tribute below.
