Two of the brightest minds in Hip-Hop Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole might have a collaborative album coming this year. Rumors have been running rampant regarding the joint album on the internet though no official confirmation has been released yet. According to reports, the album might be released secretly just like the album "Untitled Unmastered" album of Lamar which was directly uploaded on Spotify without prior advertisements or announcement. Fans of the two are already excited to hear the songs of their two favorite artists. According to Ecumenical News, the title of the collaborative album would be "Reminiscing." Neither artists has given a exact release date but it is believed that it will be out any time this year. The news about the joint surfaced when popular lyricist Royce Da 5'9'' acknowledge the talent of the two rapper. On praising Lamar, he said, " is the exception to every rule in hip-hop. He sits in that very successful MC space by himself but he takes that hit. He doesn't sell the same number of records as Drake does. He may have to take that hit in sales to get the Grammy's and receive all the creative accolades." He also acknowledge J. Cole for his pure talent saying, " lives in a space by himself too, man. I think he's quietly outselling most of the artists. He's so himself on records and it's almost a gimmick. Not putting anyone on the album, not wearing all of the high-price shit or pushing the fashion agenda and being about the lyrics and the real-life sh*t." So keep your fingers crossed that this happens soon. Check back with us with more updates about this joint album.
