George Clinton hitting the road one last time Funk legend and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer George Clinton will be heading out on his final tour with the Parliament Funkadelic. His North American tour will be titled "One Nation Under a Groove" and Clinton along with the Parliament will head on the road on May 30th with Milwaukee being their first stop. RECOMMENDED: CLINTON & P-FUNK ALL STARS DO NPR'S TINY DESK SERIES Accompanying the 77-year-old Atomic Dog singer will be Fishbone, Miss Velvet, The Blue Wolf, & Dumpstaphunk. Clinton's band members Bennie Cowan (trumpet), Greg Thomas (saxophone), Lige Curry (bass) and Blackbird McKnight (guitar), will be joining the tour as well. They have been performing with him for more than thirty years. Before Clinton and The Parliament head out on their U.S. tour they will be heading overseas for some dates during the month of February and March in Australia and Japan with the legendary rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers. Although George Clinton will be retiring from touring he assured the fans that the P-Funk legacy will continue with his grandson leading the way“It’s always been about the music and the band," Clinton said in a statement. "That’s the real P-Funk legacy.
