The Carters & Drake receive multiple VMA nominations MTV just recently announced their nominations for this years VMAs. Leading the pack with ten nominations is Hip Hops breakout female artist and former Love & Hip Hop New York cast member Cardi B. Billionaire power couple The Carters (Jay-Z & Beyonce) received eight nominations for their surprise collaborative album Everything Is Love released last month. RECOMMENDED:CARDI B. TALKS ABOUT BEING A MOTHER Other notable nominations are Emmy award-winning writer/director/actor/rapper Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) for his cutting edge and socially conscious video This Is America, Canadian rapper Drake was giving six nominations and he's having a hot summer as well with his Scorpion release and just recently dropped his chart topping single In My Feelings. The 2018 VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York on Monday, Aug. 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
