Biz Markie is a legend from the early and golden era hip-hop as rapper, and beat boxer. Biz Markie is well known for his sound and his name is recognized for transpiring a generation of listners. Biz Markie aka The Biz knew how to get the party started and people on the dance floor. He is best known for his single "Just a Friend", an American Top 10 hit in 1989. The single "Just a Friend", in which he alternates between rap and singing, became Markie's most successful single, reaching #9 on the Billboard charts. The new documentary series, Nobody Beats The Biz, gathers some of his supporting crew to tell the tale of his come-up through the rap game, compiling interviews and testimonies from key figures from the Cold Chillin’ Records team as well as Grand Daddy I.U., Maino and plenty of others. The series will apparently hone in on Biz’s debut album, Goin’ Off, released in 1988. The release date has not yet been determined. We will keep you posted as soon as it become available.
