Atlanta is more than just trap music. Atlanta funk duo The Pheels Curtis Fields and Phil Jones have been releasing good R&B music for while. In 2016 they released their critically acclaimed debut EP, likeWise. They have taken soul music to a whole new level with their seamless blend of electric instruments and R&B.
The only way I can really describe their sound is like Prince mixed with Pharrell. The Pheels space age sound is a refreshing vibe in music. One of my personal favorite tracks from the EP is French Toast. This is definitely a record we all can relate to. It’s about cooking breakfast for pretty young woman you just met club hopping around the city. Turn me Up is electric funk driven track made to get you on the dance floor.
Just recently dropped a couple of new tracks last month called “The Realness”. This record is about self reflection of self and being the real you. It is short but sweet groove. Listen to their EP likewise below. Also check out their latest offering “The Realness”. Look out for The Pheels’s new EP, due out later this year.
