Ray J Reportedly In Talks With The Trump Administration To Pardon Suge Knight

News has been circulating that reality show star Ray J is in talks with the Trump Administration to pardon Suge Knight. Knight is the former CEO of Death Row Records is currently serving a 28 year prison sentence after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter for killing his friend Terry Carter in a hit-and-run case.

Ray J also reportedly stepped up to take over control of Death Row. Knight also has sold the rights to his life’s story to Ray J, but Nick Cannon is supposedly the one writing a book about the former CEO.

Ray J would not be the first celebrity to work with the Trump Administration seeking clemency for incarcerated inmates. His former girlfriend Kim Kardashian West was one of the first celebrity to work with the Trump officials to get nonviolent inmates or people with questionable convictions released from federal prison. She has become the celebrity face and voice for social reform. She helped free Alice Johnson in June of 2018, a first-time nonviolent drug offender who’d been serving a life sentence since 1996. West is now working on a documentary about social justice reform, which will be released via Oxygen.

I don’t know if this is a good move or not for Ray J as Suge Knight is not a popular figure in the hip hop community. There has always been rumors and theories that Suge was behind the assassinations of hip hop’s biggest legends Biggie and Tupac.
