OJonesMusicFest Spotlight Big Piph

From the Festival Stage to New Horizons

The OJonesMusicFest Spotlight series continues to track artists who leave a mark—and never stop moving. After highlights on Rochelle Bloom’s Vapid Water, Sam Peezy and crew’s Spark REvolution, and most recently SkyBlew’s Rock, Paper, Scissors, we turn our attention to Big Piph—the Little Rock visionary, lyricist, and “Hip-Hop Adventurer” whose work has always blended culture, community, and craft.

While he hasn’t yet graced the OJonesMusicFest stage, Big Piph (born Epiphany Morrow) has long been part of its extended creative family. O Jones and Big Piph have been staunch allies in indie Hip-Hop culture for nearly two decades—two kindred spirits championing authenticity, empowerment, and artistry within the movement. His latest release, One For The Road, is proof that his creative evolution is as strong as ever.

One For The Road — Music for a Mind in Motion

On One For The Road, Big Piph offers a smooth, soul-leaning reflection on movement—both physical and mental. It’s about looking back while pressing forward, a theme he’s explored across a career that refuses to stand still. The track feels lived-in, like a deep exhale after miles of experience.

Built on rich, meditative production and honest storytelling, it continues the thread found in past works like “Burning Embers (Suitcase Session)” and “Untouchable (In Deez African Streetz)”. Each song shows how Piph balances wanderlust with introspection—how he uses rhythm as a compass and lyrics as landmarks.

The Hip-Hop Adventurer: Bridging Music and Mission

Big Piph’s artistry goes far beyond the booth. Appropriately, on his official site, he calls himself The Hip-Hop Adventurer—a creative dedicated to “Culture x Community x Craft.” Actually, that phrase isn’t branding; it’s blueprint.

From performances in Africa to educational workshops and community initiatives in Arkansas, Piph embodies what it means to use Hip-Hop as a tool for uplift. His Experiences project (learn more here) connects audiences across continents, blending storytelling, cultural exchange, and artistry into a living movement.

He’s shared stages and collaborations that reflect both range and reach—from working with Justin Paul on “Garrett Morgan” to joining forces with Apollo Lane on “Never Enough”. Through each effort, Big Piph stays grounded in authenticity, a rare balance between self-reflection and social impact.

Where He’s Headed Next

One For The Road feels like a chapter marker. It suggests an artist who’s still journeying, but with greater clarity about what—and who—he carries along the way.

That theme ties closely to Piph’s growing body of work in multimedia and cultural ambassadorship. His docuseries and community outreach underscore a simple truth: music is the starting point, not the destination.

As the soundscape of Hip-Hop continues to shift, Big Piph remains steady, intentional, and visionary. For listeners old and new, this track is an open invitation—to travel alongside him, to listen deeply, and to find purpose between the beats.
