This is a unlikely collaboration that I never seen coming. Long Island True hip hop legends De La Soul teams up with R&B singer Usher for their latest single “Greyhounds” from their upcoming LP and the Anonymous Nobody.
This track is very smooth and is more like a elegant poem, but very creative. De La Soul tells a story of a young girl following her dreams in NYC traveling by Greyhound. After gets off her Greyhound, she’s greeted and over whelmed by a world of fast-pace movers and a lot of temptation in the city that doesn’t sleep. When she adjusts her life to those around her, she realizes the NYC isn’t what she expected.
The Long Island trio released an EP this summer “For Your Pain and Suffering” to hold their fans over.
