Baz Luhrmann who was the writer, director, & producer of Moulin Rouge and also produced The Great Gatsby is stepping into the television world. Netflix has ordered 13 episodes of the newly titled series The Get Down the series is about a crew of South Bronx teenagers who are basically are at the bottom of the barrel of society is concerned. Not knowing they are contributing and help forming the four elements of Hip Hop ( graffiti, breaking, djing, & rapping). The series backdrop is in the 1970’s where New York at that time was giving birth to punk, disco, & hip hop, no word yet when it will air, but we’ll keep you posted.
