Top 25 classic southern albums
When Outkast won best new artist at the 1995 Source Awards they were met with an onslaught of boos from the New York crowd, and Andre 3000 said ‘the south got something to say.” The south was letting the east and west coast know that southern MC’s have a place in Hip Hop as well and are more than capable of putting out classic albums like an Illmatic or a Doggystyle.
