The numbers do not determine the rankings by any means, as each artist and group are very talented which is why they are on our list. 30. Solan Rai
This Atlanta-based artist brings some that old Memphis soul sound to the city of Atlanta. Solan is a creative powerhouse building an unstoppable movement – a movement she refers to as the Earthshakers Movement. With three self-released albums and a new project on the horizon. Solan Rai is currently working on the musical score and will be making her acting debut a new web series called Metropolitan Be on the look out for her in 2016!

29. Ruby Woo
California native, but now Atlanta based artist Ruby Woo has a unique sound old soul sound that you do not hear to often. Etta James, Doris Day, and Ella Fitzgerald come to mind when you hear her voice. Ruby embodies the voice, sex appeal, and stage presence that demands your attention. Ruby has been making her way in the business currently ranking top 10 on Reverbnation and doing tours with her song Can’t Leave Him Alone. Ruby has also worked with with rap group Travis Porter, West African artist Fode Baro and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne cast member and recording artist Demetria McKinney as a background vocalist. She has also appeared in Robin Thicke’s “Give It 2 U” video and performed with Robin Thicke, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar and Miley Cyrus during the 2013 MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMAs) live broadcast. Ruby recently stole the show during BMI’s unsigned artist showcase and looks forward to sharing her gift with new audiences and clients.

28. The Dangerfeel Newbies
The Dangerfeel Newbies members are Jamal Ahmad, Darren “DJ” Wagner & Mark Angel playing the sweet sounds of modern soul and R&B. Inspired by the story of Dangerfield Newby, one of five African-Americans in the John Brown party, this Atlanta-based trio delivers a set that is deeply rooted in blues, jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop & house. Formed by DJ’s Jamal Ahmad and Mark Angel and keyboardist/musician Darren “DJ” Wagner, the mission was to create a sound that encapsulated a soulful and well-rounded listening experience. This Thursday July 7, 2016, will announce the release their latest single “Yo Luv Is Supreme”! It is their tribute to the legendary Prince and also serves as a nod to John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme”

27. Yahaloma Ramos
Yahaloma comes from an enriched musical family of Multi Platinum and Grammy award winners. This young lady is an awesome vocalist, writer, and performer, which is no surprise to those who follow her all over the world. She has opened, as a solo act and member of The Crashers, a SW Florida Premier band, for various artists such as Mary Mary, appearing on TV programs BET and the Word Network, multiple times, Aaron Nevil, The Former Ladies of The Supremes, Cherry Poppin Daddies, Here comes the Mummies, Rare Earth, and many more! Her writing and vocal skills have even commanded the attention of the Grammy Board, getting her 8 Grammy Nominations for a collaboration with Walter “Clyde” Orange of “The Commodores” and child activist Craig Deanto, and a collaboration with former Lead Singer of the group Inner Circle, Carlton Coffie, “Everything will be Alright”. She is currently on tour with the Former Lead Singer of The Temptations, Mr. Glenn Leonard, singing lead and background vocals for Glenn Leonard Presents Hitsville Live Show, as well as heading up her own live shows, The Beautiful Tour and Stand, world-wide. Yahalomas’ Solo projects Include: No Longer Bound, My Everything, Fire, Beautiful, The best of Yahaloma, Yahaloma Live at the Englewood Event Center,and Everything will be Alright. 26. Anonymous DaBand
In this day in age when most teenagers want to be rappers, Anonymous DaBand has gone against the grain. This group of Atlanta teenagers ages ranging from sixteen to nineteen years old formed a jazz band and they can play with the best of them. Each member is a master of his own instrument and they blend their talents together to make a unique sound. The band consist of Xavier Jones (Bass), Langston Michael (Saxaphone), Xavier Davis (Keys), and Justice Michael (Drums). The band stated their parents were huge influences in their musical direction because jazz music was the choice of music in their respective households, so they gained a great appreciation for it.
These young guys are keeping live instruments in the focal point of music where it all began.
The group has performed around the Atlanta area for various benefits, social events, and festivals. As the opening acts for the likes of Najee, Chrisette Michele, and Pieces of a Dream and other top performers they have become Atlanta’s #1 Teen Instrumental Band. Anonymous DaBand is promoting their current single “Drinking Water” which is a funky groovy contemporary track.
