Pittsburgh Native Rapper Mac Miller Dead Of Apparent Overdose.

Pittsburgh native rapper Mac Miller has reportedly died.

TMZ reports Miller was found around noon Friday at his California home and was pronounced dead at the scene. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Mac was found Friday at around noon at his San Fernando Valley home and was pronounced dead at the scene.

We’re told authorities were alerted by a male friend who placed a 911 call from Mac’s home.

Miller has had trouble recently with substance abuse … in the wake of his breakup with Ariana Grande. The rapper wrecked his G-Wagon by wrapping it around a utility pole back in May and was arrested for DUI and hit and run. He fled the scene but cops say he later confessed at his home. He blew 2 times the legal limit.

He was 26 years old.

Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa tweeted, “Praying for Mac’s family and that he rest easy.”

In early 2010, Mac Miller signed a record deal with Pittsburgh-based indie record label Rostrum Records. He subsequently began recording his debut studio album Blue Slide Park, and released it on November 8, 2011. The album went on to debut at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, making it the first independently distributed debut album to top the chart since Tha Dogg Pound’s 1995 album, Dogg Food.

On May 30, 2018, Miller released “Smaller Worlds”, which would be the first single on his fifth studio album, Swimming. The album was announced on July 13, 2018, and released on August 3, 2018. Mac Miller was currently on tour
