MTV to have three hosts for this years VMAs
MTV just recently announced that the 2022 Video Music Awards is scheduled to air Sunday August 28th at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, but this years award show will be different from those in the past.
What makes the 2022 VMAs different is that they have three hosts, however this trio of host come from the Hip Hop community. MTV has recruited Hip Hop legendary icon LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, and Jack Harlow to host this years event.

This will not be your traditional music award hosting gig for the VMAs. They chose to get creative for this years VMAs, where the hosts will not only introduce the performers, but also the winners and presenters. LL is no stranger to the VMAs he won Best Rap Video for “Mama Said Knock You Out” in 1991, and he received the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in 1997.
When it comes to Nicki Minaj she will be presented with this years Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and is scheduled to perform as well. Harlow, meanwhile has seven VMA nominations including Artist of the Year.Other nominees includeKendrick Lamar,Lil Nas X(both with seven),Doja Catand Harry Styles (six), Billie Eilish,Drake,Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift andThe Weeknd(five).
