Atlanta Rapper and Activist Killer Mike Writes Powerful Message After His Barbershop Is Damaged In Shootout
According to Channel 2 News Graffitis SWAG Shop owned by Atlanta rapper and activist Killer Mike was heavily damaged after a shootout in the area. The shop is located along Roosevelt Highway in South Fulton County was boarded due to broken glass and windows.
Killer Mike posted a powerful message via Instagram about the incident,
“Please consider what would have happened if one of y’all actually hit one another. The jail, the lawyer fees, the funeral cost and two black families loss. I’m glad y’all cud not hit the side of a barn with a shot gun cuz this am y’all all are alive,” Killer Mike wrote.
“We have to be better than this moment. We have to be better than burning down our own homes because if we lose Atlanta what else do we have?” Mike said.
“I just don’t want to see people who look like me die unnecessarily because of cabin fever”, Killer Mike said. Mike also stated the relaunch of the barbershop will be delayed because of the shooting

Mike also known as Mike Render has been a outspoken community leader in the Atlanta Metro area.
Last year he teamed up with DeKalb county officials launching campaign urging young people to take coronavirus seriously. He also address people destroying property in wake of the George Floyd killing.
