JDR MOB : Making Waves In The Music Industry
Houston, Texas is home of many hip hop legends like Scarface, UGK, Travis Scott, DJ Screw and many more. JDR MOB is making waves in the music industry, and you won’t want to miss out on their rise to the top.
Who Is JDR MOB?
JDR MOB is a hip hop duo made up of brothers John and Israel Morehead. Growing up with a single mother, John and Isreal watched their mother work endlessly to provide for them. They ended up homeless for six years but never let it get the best of them.
From first and second grade, the two brothers wrote songs. They performed their songs together for family members. The boys weren’t only aspiring rappers, but they were also eventual high school basketball stars.
John and Israel attended Texas State University with the goal to join the men’s basketball team. Ultimately, both brothers dropped out of college to rethink their goals and dreams.
They didn’t want to settle for anything less than inspiring millions of people with music.
Gaining Recognition
The duo began to produce hip hop in Houston in their own home studio. In 2019, they created their own record label, “Just Dope Records.” JDR MOB began recording music every single day.
A few months later, record producer Zaytoven sought out JDR MOB. They had submitted to a Soundcloud competition and won.
The brothers got surprised with flight tickets to Atlanta, Georgia. There they got to meet and work with Zaytoven and other producers.
Getting to work with Zaytoven was a big deal. He has collaborated with well-known artists such as Usher, Gucci Mane, and Future. Ever since meeting him in 2019, JDR MOB has been working consistently with Zaytoven on producing music.
Brand New Music
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, JDR MOB recently released a new single called“We’ll Be Alright.”John and Israel have sadly lost two family members to the virus.
Even though times are hard and many people have lost loved ones, JDR MOB wants to remind people through music that things will be okay.
The new single highlights the importance of sharing moments with loved ones before time runs out. The duo plans to release a music video for “We’ll Be Alright,” and they hope to chart on Billboard’s Hot 100.
