Issa Rae announces Insecure final season
Unfortunately some things must come to an end and this it no different when it comes to some of our favorite shows, actress/writer and co-creator of the critically acclaimed HBO series Insecure Issa Rae announced the shows fifth and final season.
Issa Rae took to Twitter and confirmed the report of the its final season and thanked her fans and HBO. “We always planned to tell this story through five seasons,” and also stated “But we couldn’t have made it without the tremendous support of our audience.”

Rae and her co-creator Prentice Penny intended to tell the shows story in five seasons “Prentice and I are so grateful that HBO believed in our show from the beginning,” Issa continued. “And kept faith in us to see our vision through the end. I feel blessed beyond measure to bring our characters’ stories to an end, on-screen at least.”
Throughout the shows run Insecure has earned eight Emmy nominations and Issa Rae received two Golden Globe nominations for best actress. Insecure will begin production later this month.
