‘Fresh Prince’s’ Janet Hubert Slams Jada Pinkett Smith For Oscars Boycott

Will Smith’s original Aunt Vivian on “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” Jane Hubert called out Jada Pinkett Smith in a YouTube video posted Monday for threatening to boycott the Oscars.

Jada Pinkett Smith slammed the Academy Awards for black actors, actress and movies in this year’s nominees on yesterday.

“First of all, Miss Thing, does your man not have a mouth of his own with which to speak?” the 60-year-old said, just getting warmed up for her four-minute online rant.

Janet Hubert, who played Will Smith’s original Aunt Vivian on “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” called out Jada Pinkett Smith in a YouTube video posted Monday for threatening to boycott the Oscars.

Pinkett Smith had blasted the Academy Awards for snubbing her husband and other black actors in this year’s nominees on Martin Luther King Jr. Day – which incensed Hubert.
