Everett James “The Beatdown Vol. 5: The Lesser Of Two Evils”

With election day tomorrow November 8th,  I thought it is only fitting to post this album by Everett James The Beatdown Vol. 5: The Lesser Of Two Evils.

This election season has made a mockery of American politics with all the side show antics and less than caliber candidates.  When Donald Trump announced his candidacy (with 16 other Republican hopefuls), like many other US citizens, I thought it was a joke; a publicity stunt.  This guy has no political experience, a awful businessman, and his campaign message has been discriminatory towards African Americans, Latinos, and women.

On the other side of the aisle you have Hillary Clinton who has over 30 years of political experience, but a dark cloud over her.  First lets start with her reckless use of confidential emails, and suspect use of funds from the Clinton Foundation.  Also let us not forget in 2008 when she ran against eventual President Barack Obama, she tried to paint a picture of Obama As Not ‘Fundamentally American’.

At the end of the day the American public are left with two candidates we don’t like.  Basically which one is lesser than the two evils.

This is a very fascinating album as Everett James takes soundbites from the campaign trail from each candidate and compose them into songs.  For example the classic Hillary Clinton line ” I carry hot sauce in my purse,” and Donald Trump “I respect women.”
