Eve returns to television
Rapper Eve is most known for running with the Ruff Ryders that consisted of DMX, The L.O.X, Drag-On and Swizz Beats. Well the “pitbull in a skirt” will be back in the studio not recording, bur a television studio. It has been announced that CBS has hired Eve to be a co-host on the daytime television show The Talk.
Eve will be filling in the seat of Aisha Tyler, who was the co-host and she will join the cast that already consists of Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. “We are thrilled to welcome Eve to the table as she brings a fun and fresh perspective to our already diverse panel,” Angelica McDaniel, the executive vice president of daytime programs at CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. “The great success ofThe Talkis due to the undeniable chemistry and bond of friendship between the hosts. Eve is an accomplished and dynamic performer, musician, wife and stepmother who fits in seamlessly, while also adding a new layer to the show as we continue to evolve season to season.”
The Philly rapper is no stranger to television. She had a hit tv sitcom that aired on UPN and ran for four seasons. She has also appeared on the big screen as well starring in the Barbershop movie franchise and various films like XXX and The Cookout.
Eve burst onto the scene in 1999 with her debut solo album Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady and followed it up with her 2001 sophomore album Scorpion, where she won a Grammy for her single Let Me Blow Your Mind that featured Gwen Stefani and produced by Dr.Dre, who originally signed her to his Aftermath label back in 1998.
Eve is married to British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper who is the founder of Gumball 3000 and have been married for 3 years. Eve’s last album was Lip Lock that was released in 2013.
