20 years ago was one of the saddest days in hip hop music as we lost icon TuPac Shakur to a drive by shooting in Las Vegas, September 13, 1996. The multi talented actor, poet, rapper Tupac Shakur made a huge impact on music, and African American culture in his short time. His lyrics and messages are still glorified today and are forever timeless. So many people could relate to his stories of trails and tribulations and this is what makes him iconic.
DJ Stylus from the U.K. put together one of the best Tupac Mixtapes I have heard in while, to pay homage he dropped Tupac The Hits Mixtape (20 Year Anniversary). Once you get past the snippet of the commentary of his death he starts off with some classics like White Mans World and Brenda’s Got A Baby. After that he really goes in with the hits and underground classics.
DJ Stylus is not new to the scene, as he has put in the work, from a midnight shift DJ to BBC Radio 1Xtra. After a short stint in radio DJ Stylus became in demand for club events and parties all over the globe including far flung destinations such as Cannes, Ayia Napa, Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Miami, Dubai, Zante, Malia and Thailand. Be sure to check out his mixcloud for more dope mixes.
