Let the debate begin. A new book that focuses on every important rap song since 1979 is here to end the debate. Hip Hop culture has always included an element of debate such as who is the best emcee of all time, what is the greatest rap group, what is the best rap album and which producer makes the best beats. The Rap Year Book is set to help determine which Hip Hop songs should be crowned the king of every year since 1979.
Shea Serrano (Bun B’s Rap Coloring and Activity Book) is the author of The Rap Year Book with Arturo Torres serving as illustrator. Rap legend/Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T provides the foreword. Serrano also examines the most important moments that surround the history and culture of rap music–from artists’ backgrounds to issues of race, the rise of hip-hop, and the struggles among its major players–both personal and professional. The 240-page work is scheduled for release on October 13. Pre-order the book on Amazon.
