The Academy Awards have tapped actor/comedian and director Chris Rock to host the 88th annual Oscars. The announcement was made Tuesday via social media.
Rock is making his second stint as the Oscars host from which he made his first appearance in 2005. Last years host was Neil Patrick Harris drew the Oscars lowest ratings since 2009.
Chris Rock released a statement via social media “I’m so glad to be hosting the Oscars,” said Rock. “It’s great to be back.”
The 88th Academy Awards will be held in Hollywood on Feb.28th,2016
