Chin Injeti Says Women of Color Need To Be Respected On New Single “For The Love of Life” ft. Teon Gibbs
Canadian singer, musician, and music producer Chin Injeti drops new single “For The Love of Life“ ft. Teon Gibbs. The black and white video showcases a spectrum of beautiful women of color as the song paints the picture of how women of a particular ethnic group are mistreated in society.
It is a beautiful and well written song about self reflection and love for yourself. Women color have been through some many difficult circumstances but have survived.
Chin states, “Women are the vital backbone of the family unit. They are the givers of life… when we disrespect them, we disrespect life”.
“A significant lyric is teach them to say your name the right way. When I was young, no one even tried to say my name properly. With so much history and heritage attached to these names, one shouldn’t have to beg for that common courtesy”.
Chin is music veteran and has worked behind the scenes with several high profile artists. He a founding member of Juno Award-winning group Bass is Base. He frequently collaborates with producer DJ Khalil; together they have written and produced songs for Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Drake, Clipse, Eminem and P!nk.
