Def Jam founder Russell Simmons made a strong but polite suggestion to the execs at BET. Simmons suggested that BET should move the date of the Hip Hop Awards from schedule Oct.10th which is on a Saturday to Friday oct.9th.
The reason being is that it’s the 20th anniversary of the Million March and Minister Farrakhan is having a march on Oct.10th naming it “Justice Or Else”.
BET has not released a statement if they will take Russell Simmons suggestion into consideration
