A Tribe Called Quest To Get Mural In Queens Where They Filmed “Check The Rhime”

It has been a couple of months since Phife’s passing from his long bout with diabetes, but his spirit and music will live on forever with the help from his family & friends.

Because there will be a mural painted honoring A Tribe Called Quest on the side of the Nu-Clear Cleaners where the legendary group filmed “Check The Rhime” from there sophomore classic album The Low End Theory.

Councilman Daneek Miller expects the mural to be green lit in the next few weeks because the proposal was met with no opposition.

The cover art designer for Midnight Marauders Vince Ballentine created the mural mock-up.
