Trill Burger wins best burger in America
Bun B of the legendary iconic group UGK is going from the art of music to the culinary arts. Bun B just recently won the coveted Good Morning America’s Best Burgers Spot.
The Port Arthur, TX native was approached by last summer about venturing into the culinary world specifically the burger world. So, Bun B launched his Trill Burgers with his partners Andy Ngyen and Chef Mike Pham, even though Trill Burgers does not have a permanent home, however they have reached success by serving as a pop up shop to spread the word.

“It’s so surreal that it doesn’t make sense,” Bun B said in a statement following the show. “To be in Times Square having won the best burger in America live onGood Morning America, it’s not even in the realm of things that we would have imagined for this brand. We just wanted to put in hard work and be justified for what we did, and today we got the ultimate validation. I can’t wait to bring this burger to America.”
Trill Burgers was able to get three out of five votes to take home the Best Burgers of America award, the judges were TV personalityGina Neely, former NFL running back Tiki Barber, former NBA player Jalen Rose, WWE wrestler Titus O’Neil, and ABC anchor Sam Champion.
For those that are intrigued as in what consists of a Trill burger, well their menu is very simple his current offerings include three burgers: the rapper’s namesake, the Trill OG, which features two 1/4-pound beef patties, two slices of American cheese, pickles, and their patented Trill Sauce on a Martin’s potato roll; the Onion Burger, which adds the titular topping to the OG; and a Veggie Burger.
Bun B revealed there are plans for a brick -and- mortar sometime in the near future, but their next pop up for Trill Burgers is in New York for LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells music festival.
