Ludacris learns how to cook
Rapper/actor Ludacris is a man of many hats, so it’s not surprising that he will be putting on a chef’s hat as well. The ATL native admits he cannot cook but his explanation is valid he stated that when he didn’t have much when he was younger and would just put stuff together and would just chow down.
So Luda has teamed up with television producer Will Packer on a one hour special “Luda Can’t Cook” that will premiere on the streaming service Discovery+ plus on Feb.25th. Luda stated “when men like myself are hungry, we just want to eat,” and also he said we don’t want to take 30 minutes to an hour to cook.”

Chef Meherwan Irani will join Luda on the show to introduce him to different techniques and international flavors when it comes to cooking. Luda had this to say about his mom’s cooking “I love my mother with all my heart. My mother was not the best cook in the world,” he said. “Her food and cooking has gotten better and better over a long period of time.” However, his Eudoxie says she’s reason he can’t cook “She does all the cooking, which is part of the reason I can’t cook,” he said. “She has her own style and she’s very, very good at it.”
The Fast and the Furious star does find it a bit ironic “It’s so complex that I just wanted to understand how it’s made,” he said. The irony of not being able to even cook rice (“it’s going to stick to the pot”) and owning a stake in Chicken + Beer, a restaurant serving Southern-style comfort food inside the Atlanta airport, isn’t lost on the Grammy-winning rapper. At the same time, he wants to correct one thing. “The whole Luda can’t cook is only 99% true,” he said. “There’s 1%; I can cook tacos.”
