The Corona virus has not stopped The Weeknd from trending up and dropping a new album After Hours overnight. Currently the Canadian singer has the #1 song and #1 album on the US iTunes charts. He is also #1 on the Spotify charts.

His single “Blinding Lights” is the most popular track off the album. It sits atop the iTunes chart and maintains a Top 5 position on Spotify’s Top 200 U.S. chart. On Wednesday, After Hours broke Apple Music’s all-time pre-add record with almost 1 million album pre-adds prior to its release.

Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye’s fourth studio album—which comes with no features with production by Metro Booming. The project follows 2016’s Starboy, 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness, and 2013’s Kiss Land. The Weeknd, also dropped My Dear Melancholy, EP in 2018.

After Hours is considered a concept album, as Abel explained to CR Fashion Book in February,

“I feel confident with where I’m taking this [new] record,” he said. “There’s also a very committed vision and character being portrayed and I get to explore a different side of me that my fans have never seen.”

The Weeknd has also partnered with Postmates for The Receipt blog to reveal what he orders while using the service. But that’s not all. For their new edition of The Receipt, Postmates is donating to the United Nations Foundation COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
