Roots Picnic 2024 announce headliners: Lil Wayne, André 3000, Jill Scott, Victoria Monét, Nas, and, The Roots

The 2024 Roots Picnic, a highly anticipated music festival in Philly celebrating hip-hop and the city’s robust music scene, has announced an exciting lineup of headliners. The festival will take place on June 1 and 2 at The Mann Center in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park.

Here are the headliners for this year’s Roots Picnic:

Lil Wayne: The acclaimed rapper will headline the festival, backed by The Roots, and is set to perform a mix of his hits. He’ll also pay tribute to the music of his hometown, New Orleans, with help from guests PJ Morton and Trombone Shorty.

André 3000: The enigmatic artist will bring his flute project, New Blue Sun, to the stage for a live performance.

Jill Scott: Philly native and co-headliner, Jill Scott, will celebrate her debut album, “Who Is Jill Scott?”.

Nas: The legendary rapper will grace the stage with his iconic presence.

Victoria Monét: The Grammy Awards’ Best New Artist will showcase her talent.

Gunna: The rising hip-hop star will add his energy to the festival.

Additionally, there will be special collaborations:

The Roots’ Black Thought will perform with Method Man and Redman.
Fantasia and Muni Long will join Adam Blackstone.

Scarface and Amerie will play with the Backyard Band.

The Roots Picnic, which first launched in 2007, has become an integral part of Philly’s live music fabric. There’s a Picnic Alumni pre-sale at RootsPicnic.com at 10 a.m. Feb. 20, followed by tickets going on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Feb. 23.
