John Coltrane created a master piece 50 years ago with the A Love Supreme album. Coltrane and his quartet (bassist Jimmy Garrison, drummer Elvin Jones and pianist McCoy Tyner) were backed at times by bassist Art Davis and fellow saxophonist Archie Shepp. Now, to mark the album’s 50th anniversary, Verve Music Group is releasing the session’s complete master tapes, and a never heard before alternate of “Acknowledgment”

.

All my jazz lovers should enjoy this. So sit back and enjoy the smooth sounds of musicianship. The 50th Anniversary re-release of A Love Supreme can be purchased on Amazon.
