Nigel Perkins The Soul Singer is on mission to bring back that old soul sound of emotional attachment in R&B music.  This new-age of R&B and Soul music incorporates heavy Trap sounds.  R&B has simply evolved for the times, borrowing from modern influences and genres. Contemporary R&B is rich and diverse.  This generation of artist in 2021, the genre’s spectrum is at the height of its evolution and is more diverse than ever before!

Many listener’s of today’s R&B music thinks that it fails to pull on the heart strings and connect on a deeper personal level.  All is not lost, as Nigel showcases the genre’s roots, classic slow jam compositions with a smoother side of soul.

The Soul Singer is a student of Atlanta music scene pioneers Monyea Crawford and Richard Rollie of LoveChild Productions.  As team they deliver exquisite songs intertwine with sweet melodies,  and rhythm.

One of Nigel’s new singles  ”My Old Lady” from the EP – Can You Hear Me Now showcases his ethereal vocals and intrepid lyricism.

The other two tracks “Oh Baby” and “Don’t Change” on the three track EP do not disappoint, blending Southern, gospel roots with a fresh spin on ‘90s R&B.
