DISTILLED BUTTER BAND: THE REBIRTH OF JAZZ – PART 2

Last week we sat down with Distilled Butter Band band director and flutist Richard Brown, booking agent extraordinaire Whitney Brown. Today we have the pleasure of siting down with two talented ladies from the band Lady Bose and keyboardist Keisha. I have to Keisha knows her instrument and can play with the best of them. She is always in tune letting the keys ripple like ocean water. Keisha’s skills cannot be denied.

Lady Bose has big voice and can carry a note. During the practice session Distilled Butter Band covered Jill Scott’s “Golden”. They did not miss a beat, Lady Bose voice was on point and the made the song her own. When I interviewed them I didn’t ask general run of the mill questions. Asked what does music mean to them and how do they help empower women with their music. They gave some very interesting and passionate answers. Watch the interview below
