Wu Tang Forever. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of his debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Raekwon is releasing The Purple Tape Files, a documentary that depicts he and the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan’s rags to riches story. This album became a instant classic in world of hip hop and a fan favorite among Wu Tang albums.
The two-minute trailer,which premiered this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival, Rae stated “This documentary is about people getting all the answers in that time because they were in their prime”
.The doc, which is unfinished, also includes commentary from Nas, who was the only guest emcee on the project outside of the Wu-Tang Clan.
