VH1 just announced that Missy”Misdemeanor” Elliott
will be a honoree at this years Hip Hop Honors that will take place in New York on July 11th.Missy came on the scene in 1997 with her solo debut album Supa Dupa Fly, that spawned the classic and innovated song and video “The Rain.” From there Missy has sold over 30 million records.
The Hip Honors theme will pay tribute to women who were trend setters and moved the culture forward. Along with Missy as a honoree she will join Queen Latifah
as well, but I’m quite sure more honorees will be added to the lineup.VH1 Hip Hop Honors : All Hail The Queens will air July 11th at 9pm
