Earlier this year Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith would drop six albums this year. It seems like they are on a mission. Well on Monday, TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith posted his team’s six album schedule on Instagram writing, “S**t about to get nasty real soon… I told y’all I got y’all in 2016 #TDE.” Basically every artist signed to the label will be dropping an album, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SZA, and Isaiah Rashad.
Both Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul’s records seem most complete with “sample clearance” and “mixing stages” written across the white board. SZA and Isaiah Rashad are currently in the “4th” and “3rd creative stages” of the production process, respectively. He posted a picture of the whiteboard on instagram.
Jay Rock is currently on the injured reserve as he recovers from his motorcycle accident he sustained back in February.
It’s also worth noting that there are two new artists mentioned by the Top Dawg, simply listed as “John Doe 1 & 2.”
The list ends by teasing a 2017 release “BH,” an apparent reference to the long-awaited collaborative Black Hippy record TDE fans have been waiting for.
