The iconic Hip Hop group The Roots announced their annual Roots Picnic lineup and it something you do not want to miss.
The good mix of big time talent and music styles headlined by Pharrell featuring The Roots, Lil Wayne, Solange, 21 Savage, Kimbra. The other music giants on the bill is Thundercat, Pete Rock, Fat Joe Mobb Deep and others.
10th annual Roots Picnic will take place at Philadelphia’s Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing Saturday June 3. The concept of showcasing musical talent from different genres came into inception 10 years ago and the tradition has grown every year. Last year it expanded to New York City. “Philly will always be the home, the birthplace of the Roots Picnic,” stated by Shawn Gee The Roots long time manager.
