Teyana Taylor honors the class of 2020 with new video
Singer Teyana Taylor has just released two new visuals this week one “Made It” and “Bare Wit Me.”
Taylor’s “Made It” is tribute to all of the 2020 graduates who were not able to have a formal graduation amongst their peers, family and friends due to the pandemic and Teyana can relate because she never had a formal graduation due to her music career.
She released this message to the Class of 2020 stating “Unfortunately, this pandemic has stopped us from physically gathering and celebrating,” she wrote. “But this pandemic can’t stop your spirit, it can’t dim your light, and it can’t take your degree away from you!”
Her second video “Bare Wit Me” is reminiscent of the legendary Michael Jackson’s classic hit & video “Smooth Criminal.” In the visual her husband former NBA player Iman Shumpert stars alongside her as the character Illinois Jones while Taylor portrays the character Greyla Greathouse in this 1930’s murder mystery, which is in technicolor.
