Snoop has expressed interest in recent years that he wanted to purchase Deathrow Records the label that brought West coast Hip Hop to the forefront with acts such as Tha DoggPound, 2Pac, Dr.Dre, Lady of Rage, & Nate Dogg. Deathrow was purchased by Hasbro in 2019 then sold it to Blackstone for $385 million and Snoop stated “I would like to personally thank the teams at Blackstone, MNRK and especially David Kestnbaum, who worked collaboratively with me over several months to make this exciting homecoming a reality.
