Hip-Music Shuts Down Grammy Awards with Star Studded Performances Hip Hop music celebrated its 50th anniversary with star studded performances at the 65th Grammy Awards. The hip hop tribute showcased the evolution of the genre from artists at its inception to present day. LL Cool J Started with the introduction with narration from Black Thought, featuring performances from the 80s by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run-DMC, LL Cool J, Salt-N-Pepa, Rakim, and Public Enemy . Queen Latifah performing “U.N.I.T.Y.”, Scarface with “My Mind’s Playing Tricks On Me”, Wu-Tang Clan, Big Boi, & Busta Rhymes performed for the 90s set. Nelly and Lil Wayne represented the 2000s. GloRilla performing “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)”, and Lil Baby wrapped up the set for present day.
